500 kV Lao Cai – Vinh Yen Transmission Line Energized 8 Months Early

Spanning 229.5 km with 468 tower foundations, the project was delivered at exceptional speed, together with two substations finalized a few days ago.

Once operational, the line will transmit up to 3,000 MW from hydropower plants in the Northwest and neighboring provinces to the national grid, while also expanding Vietnam’s electricity import capacity. This will enhance grid stability, strengthen supply security, and support the nation’s long-term growth.

This achievement reflects more than just technical progress. It signals how Vietnam is changing – no longer just talking, but delivering with speed.
